Do you, like me, love the idea of Magnetic Poetry... but often end up feeling more frustrated than inspired when you step away from your refrigerator door?

Enter Desktop Poet. Your computer screen takes the place of your fridge. You can rearrange your tiles with a click of the mouse. You can even add or delete any tiles you may or may not want to use in a specific poem. Want to use the word "hungriest" instead of "hunger"? No problem - right click on the tile and transform the word instantaneously.

This is really a great program - lots of fun. I don't usually buy computer software, but I think this was $15 well spent. Also great for a growing vocabulary, or anyone who uses an unusual jargon or multiple languages when writing.

Fans of Magnetic Poetry will love this flexible, user-friendly computer version for their desktops! My version allows me to add words to the given word list, which makes the item more engaging and more personal. I enjoy building interesting little phrase--taking a break from my work! :) I believe there is a version of this software for both Windows operating systems and for Macintosh. Just read system requirements carefully or do a search for DeskTop Poet and the name of your operating system. Like Magnetic Poetry, this is a great way to play with words and to strengthen your vocabulary and your creativity.
