It also gives recommendations for other keywords to include in an article or website, thus boosting potential views. As such, the AdWords keywords tool is one of the best webmaster tools available.

Free Webmaster Tools: Textalyser

Textalayser is a great free webmaster tool which analyses a given set of text and gives details regarding it. Namely details such as what words appear and how many times they appear, how many keywords it has and how readable the text is. Where it is useful is that it enables webmasters to see the view of a webpage that search engines do and as such it allows webmasters to check the topic they think they are writing about against the topic that search engines think the article is about. As such, Textalyser is one of the best free webmaster tools.

Free Webmaster Tools: Iwebtool

Iwebtool is not so much a single tool for webmasters as it is a collection of webmaster resources. It has a collection of programs that can achieve many things useful to webmasters, from checking how many links are on the web to a specific site to checking page rank and search engine position. What really makes iwebtool one of the best webmaster tools is its professional and easy to use design, with as little clutter possible. As such, iwebtool is an indispensable collection of tools for webmasters.

Creating and taking care of your website or for that matter any collection of online content can be a daunting task, especially without the right tools. Herein three vital free webmasters tools and how to use them will be discussed, with appropriate links to the tools included. This listing order is meant as a chronological order of use whilst developing your website or article for associated content.

Free Webmaster Tools: Google AdWords Keyword

The title of this Google tool can be quite misleading, as the name seems to suggest it would only be of use to those who wish to advertise using Google. Basically it was meant to be a tool to show people intending to advertise what key words are looked up and in what volume, however it is also useful in deciding what words to include in an article or website as it shows the volume of people that search for certain sets of keywords. It also gives recommendations for other keywords to include in an article or website, thus boosting potential views. As such, the AdWords keywords tool is one of the best webmaster tools available.

The Relevance Factor In External Seo Content

SEO establishes relevance to search queries. The on-site content should be written with this in mind and designers should avoid putting in headers or links using anything but keywords and keyword pairs. Diluting relevance will work against the rankings; the ratio of importance of off-site content is 85% so care should be taken on which sites you place links, especially social media site where your links can get associated with non-relevant ones.

Online Marketing Tips: Education and the Tools to Survive in Business

Online marketing tips can improve every aspect of your business if you get them from good sources and apply them in the right way. I cannot show you the right way without knowing more about your business, but I can give you a couple of guiding principles in my business life that I hope will help you as much as they have me.

Non-formal Education as the Key to the Online World

Signing up for an online marketing course can change your business in a matter of weeks. You can sign up for these easily, and they usually work in one of two ways. One way is you meet the group in an online meeting room, chat room or a private server to go over class material, take tests, watch videos, etc.

The other main way this is done, and now the most common I think, is to sign up for an email course. This way you can work at your pace, and you will also have a copy of the entire course work after you are done to reference over and over. I think this is a better way of doing things because running one of these courses is much easier and does not take up as much time as a real-time class. Therefore, you will have happier instructors as well, which is always a good thing in my opinion.

Tools to Make Your Online Life Easier

Online marketing tools can solve any number of problems you may be having in your online business. Need to spy on your competitors keywords, done. Need to research your own keywords and find profitable sub-keywords, done. Set up a flowing web page, blog or an automated email list to serve your customers. All this and more can be easily accomplished with a few simple webmaster tools provided to you by Google, for example, and a number of other small companies that are looking out for the small online business person.

You can find these and many other useful tools just by doing a simple online search. You can also locate a friendly forum in your niche. This may take a little work, but in the long run it will provide you with more education than you thought you could get.

Forums are sometimes the best place to go for knowledge. I suggest reading through the archives of said forum and seeing what discussions have had a lot of responses; and then, read those while paying close attention to what is being asked and how helpful people are. Finding a good forum is like finding a good school–do not go, necessarily, to the first one that you see. Look around and find one that works the way you want to work.

These online tips will help you a hundred fold if you follow them. Finding some place to learn and the tools that will help with your online business will make your business a success no matter what niche you are in or how much you want to work.

If you are looking for that one thing to change your earning power, and in turn, your life, or for that opportunity to really bring into reach all your dreams, then I strongly suggest you check out my site at http://UltimateOnlineEntrepreneur.com/.

5 Essential Types of SEO Tools

There are many SEO tools available online at your disposal. A quick search on Google for “seo tools” yields more than a million results. You are bound to get overwhelmed and confused by seeing so many tools.

The trick is not to use all the tools randomly, but to select a choice few and leverage them. Listed below are five types of basic SEO tools required when optimizing your website.

5 Essential Types of SEO Tools

1. Keyword Research Tools: Keyword research and analysis is the most basic step of search engine optimization. You need to select keywords which maintain a fine balance between popularity and competitiveness. Today Google holds the majority in search market share, but there are millions who still prefer other search engines. You should opt for keyword tools which provide comprehensive data for Google, Yahoo and Bing.

2. Meta Tags Analyzer Tools: A Meta tag analyzer tool examines the Meta tags of a web page for search engine compatibility. This tool checks if your web page adheres to the basic search engine guidelines. E.g. If the title tag of your web page exceeds 65 characters, a warning or a reminder is issued by the tool. Simply add your website link in the URL box and the tool will return the results within a few seconds.

3. Backlinks Checker Tools: They are also called link popularity tools. The number of backlinks to a website determines its popularity with Google. It is nearly impossible to track all the backlinks to a website. A good link popularity tool provides detailed information regarding the backlinks. E.g. it’s PR, follow, no follow, link authority etc. Google Webmaster Tools and Yahoo site explorer provide the most basic details about a websites backlinks.

4. Sitemap Generator Tools: The main function of a sitemap is to help the search engines discover all the links of a website. The search engines can then index the entire website without missing any link. If the website contains 10-20 pages, it is possible to generate a sitemap manually. As the number of web pages increase, it becomes time consuming to maintain the sitemap. An xml sitemap generator tool creates a sitemap within seconds. Some sitemap tools provide an option of including frequency and priority tags in the sitemap.

5. Web Analytics Tools: Web analytics tools are the perfect way to leverage all the seo activities of a website. The data provided by these tools help you to improve the on page optimization of a web page. E.g. the high bounce rate of a web page indicates poor quality content or even high page load time. There are a variety of free and paid analytics tools available online. You should aim at deploying two to three analytics tools on your website to obtain accurate metrics.

You can also use the various seo toolbars and browser add-ons for extra functionality. These tools give your website SEO a good head start and help in achieving high ranking. One such popular tool is SEO Quake.

Webmasters Guide to Search Engine Optimization | SEO Traffic Spider

The process of search engine optimization involves tweaking various aspects of your website and deals only with the organic search results. It has nothing to do with paid search also known as inorganic search or PPC. In order to improve your positioning in the organic search results, these guidelines will point out the tactics on how you can improve the visibility of your website.

Page Title:
Page title also referred to as the ‘title tag’ needs to be unique for each page of your website. This tag tells search engines and also the visitors what that particular webpage is all about. The title tag of each page should contain the business/website name followed with important information that relates to the webpage. One must avoid the following:

Recording a title tag that is not relevant to the information present on the webpage. Recording the same title tag across all the pages of the website. Recording long title tags.

Meta Description:
The Meta description tag gives both the search engines and also the visitors who perform a search on the search engine an idea on what the web page is all about. That’s why it’s important to precisely summarize the content of your webpage. It’s always safe to keep the meta description tag within 160 characters (including spaces), as the rest of it gets truncated. One must avoid the following:

Writing a meta description that is not relevant to the information presented on the webpage. Recording the same meta description across all the web pages of the website. Recording the meta description with only keywords.

URL Structure:
It’s important to create a URL structure that is friendly to the search engines as this will help in better indexing of your website. For this reason, it is essential to create appropriate filenames and expressive categories on your website. One must avoid the following:

Recording long URLs Recording the same URL across all the web pages. Recording deep nested subdirectories Recording irrelevant directory names.

Website Navigation:
A website that is easy to navigate can help the visitors to find the information they are looking for. It also helps the search engines in indexing the pages appropriately. It is important to ensure that all the web pages of your website are interlinked properly and also show the correct page when clicked on. The use of sitemaps both HTML and XML help the spiders to crawl the website easily and also index it. One must avoid the following:

Creating complex websites that are difficult to navigate. Creating drop-down menus. Developing a HTML sitemap in which the pages are not organized. Indexing the 404 page in the search engine.

Unique Content:
The content that is hosted on your webpage needs to be informative, such that it can elicit action. Ensure that the content is not copied and is 100% your own creativity. Keep the content focused around your primary keywords and ensure that the keyword density is around 2.75% to 3.21%. It is also good to keep changing the content on your website so that the visitors can see that the site is not static but dynamic with its content. One must avoid the following:

Using images that serve as textual content. Using long sentences. Incorrect grammar and spelling mistakes. Duplicate content on the web pages of your website. Stuffing keywords unnecessarily.

Anchor Text:
Anchor texts are links that direct visitors to the internal pages of the website or to an external page/website. Anchor text helps the users to easily navigate between pages and also helps the spiders to understand what the page is all about, that it is linked to. One must avoid the following:

Using general anchor texts. Using anchor text that is not related to the content of the webpage or is off topic. Using long sentences. Creating unnecessary links.

Heading Tags:
Heading tags are used to represent the heading of the content of the webpage. Heading tags range in 6 sizes – h1, h2, h3, h4, h5 and h6. These tags should only be used at the appropriate places. One must avoid the following:

Using one heading tag for the entire content of the webpage. Using too many heading tags throughout the content of the webpage.

Alt Tag Optimization:
Images can’t be read by a spider when they crawl on the website. Therefore, it is important to use alt tags for the images. It is best suggested to use the primary keyword as the alt tag following the contents that describe the page. One must avoid the following:

Using long filenames. Stuffing excess of keywords in the alt tags.

Robots.txt File:
A robots.txt file is used to prohibit the robots to crawl a particular page based on the nature and content of information that is available. This file must be placed in the root directory of your site and also named as robots.txt. One must avoid the following:

Search result pages to be crawled.

Website Promotion:
You can promote your website using offline promotion, online promotion, social media sites, AdWords optimization, Google’s Local Business Center, forming groups, forums etc.

Once you have implemented or taken note of all these tactics, do use the Google Webmaster Tools that will help you in solving many of the issues that are related to your website. You can also monitor the performance of your website by using Google Analytics.

4 SEO Tools to Find Links to a Webpage

The pace of progress accelerates day by day bringing lots of changes into every sphere of human activities. Being one of the most significant areas of modern life, the Internet is not an exception. But no matter what changes may take place in the search world, links still remain the basic element of search engine ranking mechanism. You may stuff your site with great content and exclusive material, but unless you’re making good use of link juice you’ll find it difficult to occupy the top spot in search results.

Comprehensive backlink research lays the solid basis for every link building campaign. That’s the reason you can’t skip it when doing SEO.

At the starting point of backlink building the first step is to check how many incoming links your website has and what value they carry.  You also shouldn’t forget about your on-line competitors and check their sites as well. It will help you to evaluate the time and effort you need to outrank your on-line rivals in #1 placement race. Needless to say that doing this SEO task manually is dead-end monkey work. Rambling in Google, hitting random sites in search of a backlink is ineffective and too time-consuming.

Is there any way out?

Yes! Luckily now you have got a number of SEO tools at your disposal and they can really help you check the linking profile of a website and shape your link building campaign.

1. Yahoo! Site Explorer

Yahoo! Site Explorer one of the most popular backlink checkers. It provides users with the list of backlinks to the specified domain. The algorithm is baby-simple: you just go to Yahoo! search and enter: link:yoursite[dot]com and it will redirect you to the site explorer, where you’ll be able to see who is linking to the website. This option is available in other search engines as well, including Google, but they are far less effective, since they provide you only with a small random sample of a site’s link profile.  Yahoo usually gives a much more complete pattern of results.

Site explorer is a great SEO tool, but, alas, it isn’t perfect. Its main drawback is that it never shows you more than 1000 results per domain, so you’ll have to damp internal links and to check links to deeper pages to get more results. Most useful SEO tools

Explained in layman’s terms, Search Engine Optimization is a combination of processes adopted to highlight a website to major search engines, in order to attract maximum traffic. Unless you have a website offering niche products, you have to continuously upkeep your SEO efforts and keep on inventing new ones, to maintain a decent placement in the search engine results.

While some search engines offer a paid service in order to highlight your website, all the top search engines like Google, Yahoo and MSN use automated software programs called spiders or bots to crawl the web and index all webpages in their database. Some others like AOL search engine access the Google database for their online search results, while AltaVista and Lycos use the Yahoo database.

The internal ranking factors such as website structure, keywords, keyword density, the title tag, Alt attributes in images, Meta tags, as well as external ranking factors like inbound links, link importance, anchor text, and relevance matter the most when it comes to achieving a good probability of getting a preferential position in search engine results. A good indicator of your website popularity is the Google page rank, which denotes a number between 1 to 10 to show how popular your site is among web users.

SEO professionals endeavor to analyze your website and incorporate various on-page and off-page optimization factors to make it search friendly. However, it may be kept in mind that there is no magical way to create the best site out of thin air, without consistent efforts and without patience. It is recommended that you analyze your website yourself with respect to its architecture, content, keywords, back links and URLs placed on it, so that you can gain an insight on where your website stands, and what needs to be optimized. Google always encourages the use of organic SEO techniques to bring your website at par with the best in the business in terms of visibility. Before you entrust the job of updating your web pages for good search engine rankings to a Search Engine Optimization company, you should first check up where you stand in terms of all the above factors, so that you are clear about where you need to improve. Google provides a lot of SEO tools for free, which you may use in order to analyze your website:

This tool is best used integrated with other Google tools like Adwords, Adsense, Web Optimizers and Webmaster.

SEO Tools You Need for Website Optimization

A few basic but necessary tools for use in your SEO work

There are a number of online tools that I use in my SEO efforts.  Some of these tools are free and some cost money. I suppose you could do your SEO work without most of these tools, but who would want to?  They make life easier, and they make your SEO efforts more efficient and effective.

A good keyword tool is critically important

I have to tell you, as far as I am concerned the single most important tool in your tool kit is a keyword tool.  As I’ve said before, if your keyword phrases are not ever searched for then your search engine optimization efforts are in vain.  First you need to find out what people are searching for in regards to your topic, and then do your optimization.

There are a lot of keyword tools out there if you do a little searching. Some are free, but I use WordTracker which costs me about $60 for a month subscription. It’s an online tool, and you just log in and use it whenever you need it.  I usually end up subscribing for a month every few months.  The thing is, it is so valuable that it would be worth way more than 100 times that price.  Thank god for competition.

With WordTracker you can find out how many times a keyword phrase is searched for, how many sites are competing with you for that keyword phrase, and how many times your search engine listing would be seen per day if you were on the 1st page of the search engine results page.  It also finds keyword phrases for you in various ways.  Once you subscribe you have a wealth of information available as to how to effectively use the tool.

Google webmaster tools are invaluable in achieving a high ranking on Google.

I am a firm believer in using Google’s webmaster tools.  For crying out loud, if Google is willing to tell you what errors and problems your site has, then you should listen!  The webmaster tools tell you things like which keywords it sees in your sites content, what it sees in the link text on other sites that point to yours, which of your pages are being pointed to from other sites, and more. The tools tell you when you have duplicate title tags, not enough words in your meta description and when the meta description is duplicated on more than one page.

You can submit a sitemap to make sure all of your pages get spidered.  Sitemaps can be very simple, consisting of just a list of URLs in your site.  Google spiders your sitemap within hours of it being submitted, and it then tells you if there are any errors. It’s simply amazing.

Google Analytics is another good SEO tool

Google analytics can provide you with a wealth of information about your visitors, where they come from, and the paths through your site they take, the entry and exit pages and tons more valuable information. And it’s free. You can see at a glance your visitor bounce rate, number of visits over time, page views, and keyword phrases used to find you and so much more that I don’t have the space here to go into details.  It’s very easy to check out, so check it out.

Link Popularity Checking Tool

Marketleap has a great little tool for checking your link popularity; marketleap.com. This tool lets you measure your website’s online awareness and overall visibility. This SEO tool helps website owners find out who is linking to their site and gives a useful benchmarking report to quickly show where you stand in comparison to competitors and other major online players. You can also track your links over time by checking every so often.  The site keeps records; some of mine now go back 4 years!

The Compete tool helps you compete!

I’ll conclude with a wonderful tool I use to find out the approximate traffic that any particular web site has; compete.com. You put in the URL of the site you are interested in and the tool gives you a number of statistics including the approximate traffic that the site receives. You can compare up to 5 URLs at a time and the tool gives you both numbers and graphs to view. Obviously the more traffic a site gets the more accurate the estimate.  I’ve tried several and compete gives me the most accurate figures of the ones I’ve tried.

I like to see what kind of traffic a site gets when I am considering trading links and when targeting specific keyword phrases I like to scope out the competition to see if it’s worth doing.

There are many more tools that you can find online, but this gives you a very good start, and possible all you really need to perform expert professional SEO on your webpages.
